Race Recap: St. Paddy’s 8K, March 19, 2016

This is maybe my favorite race of the year, even though it’s not my favorite distance. I ran it for the first time last year and knew I was hooked for the rest of my running career.  One thing I loved about it last year that has changed is the time of day; last year, the race took place at 3:00 in the afternoon, but this year it was moved into the morning, with the kilt run at 9:30 and the 8K race at 10:30.  Because the Irish pub that housed the race last year closed, the race found a new home at a new bar in a new part of town, and I’m pretty sure that’s part of the reason for the time change. 2120 people were registered to participate in this race in 2016.
